Lapis Lazuli - Value of Royal Blue

The name "Lapis Lazuli" comes from the Persian "lazhward", and literally means "blue stone". The Egyptians long valued this stone, not only as a source of carving and inlay material, but also in ground form as a cosmetic. Painters from pre-Renaissance times until the Modern Era used ground Lapis as their pigment "ultramarine", and that old formula is still used today by museum conservators.

As in many other cases, extensive properties of various specimen, herbs, minerals known from the ancient times are today forgotten, lost or distorted, most easily by pointing only to outer qualities and features of that specific thing. For the purpose of this small article it doesn't matter why that happens, what is more interesting is our experience, that almost nothing can be hidden/lost perfectly.

In compliance with old art we were able to extract tincture from Lapis Lazuli and compose it together with proprietary blend of herbal ingredients into Quantum Elixir that has many interesting and exciting features. It is for sure that Egyptians valued Lapis Lazuli for these inner properties as well, apprising cleanness of mind and focus obtained, even artistic vision improved.

When used, the royal blue influencing individual from inside may deliver that something, not easily found in contemporary extracts, ointments or mind balancing techniques and provide that hard to find feeling of "being here" and appreciating things as they are.

Creativity In A Comfort Way

One definition coming close to creativity itself would be - creativity is "me outside of me" (can't resist to notice Verne Troyer's Mini Me ...). We used to call creativity that tip of an iceberg exposed in galleries, museums, private collections, design centers, but all of that is far from being truth.

Whether someone wants or doesn't, he is creative day and night, knowingly or unknowingly, artist or farmer. Because breathing in and out, spending word here and there, anything that person does - all that matters and creates our life. And is there any higher creation then making up someones life?

Coming back to today's very narrow perception of creativity that is usually concentrated around arts this is what interest me - why tangible results of all that artistic endeavour resemble each other so much?

Within each era you can just simply change a few details, colors and voila, you have so called "a brand new piece or design". Just take a look on cars, on houses, or even interior design, jewelry, ... The very same lines, a few standard samples, same imagination, just shifting and moving the peaces of puzzle around canvas and putting them together.

The last resort today to buy something "original", creative and chic usually rests in looking for something of designers brand name, style of his production house, collections. Someones name, or better his/her life or lifestyle is a merit to what to buy or not, to reproduce own style and artwork. There are, of course, business aspects to be considered as well, because various industries tend to immediately copy the best ideas that appear on the market and so contribute to the uniformity of design.

There are some ways to overcome that "paste and copy style" and walking the path you will find suggestions like - try various techniques, practise art, study masters, follow tradition, try alcohol or marijuana, tantra or yoga ... I like something else, something that was given as everything else and does the job for me by itself, as I have comfortable nature. - I know that Plantstones are not for everyone, as many prefer to have that feeling that only hard work makes you reach something, or that only teacher can show you the path.
Whatever you choose, your life is the only measure for your creativity and creativity is what enlivens your life.

Gently Behind Zen

A famous Zen story tells of a Japanese professor in the late 1800's who went to visit master Nan-in. First, the old master served tea. He filled his guest's cup to the brim-and then kept on pouring. The tea spilled over the sides of the cup, until the astonished professor could no longer hold his polite silence. "Stop!" he cried. "No more will go in!" Nan-in then quietly replied, "Like this cup, you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

It used to be interpreted in a way, that if our minds are clogged with concepts, with the debris of past experiences and worries about the future, how can we live freshly or fully, at work or at play?- Well, if that would be only the mind in question, we would have an easy job to do and any meditation would help to clear our that stuff within a few hours. Yes, life would be that easy, and Zen as well.

However emotions are our companions in this game and that means, as each emotion represents thousands of thoughts stored within various layers of our being (a small part of them is located in our head, sure ...), we could easily spend centuries cleaning out the stuff by pure meditations or other mind balancing techniques. From other perspective, it is a talk of contemporary man with his woman, talk of the thought with the emotion - I mean talk of one thought with thousand of thoughts and vice versa - responding to thousand of questions by one answer ... It can hardly work. Died trying.

As Heidegger put it, "Anxiety is there. It is only sleeping. Its breath quivers perpetually through man's being." Anxiety, loneliness, fears, feelings of rejections, ... - as a humans, we are one of most endowed with this treasure and rightly so, how could we otherwise become humans?

Pulse Essences do clean emotions that we can not handle and that are otherwise stored in our body, stored for years and decades. They also improve mood and do so fast. Nothing more and nothing less. I am saying this, because most of us tend to jump right into advanced lessons, complex laboratory work, interesting projects without noticing that treasure already collected and binding us down.

From The Laboratory

Recently on the Alchemystica News Group a fellow queried the following:

Hello Group,
First post. There should be many more coming. Have made a "basic seven" and wish to make another with absolute alcohol and salt calcined to a pure white.

OK. Here we go. This question involves Mr. Reid and the PON courses.

I want to make seven planetary spagyric tinctures. On the one hand (PON) we extract the tincture under the soxhlet. Then we calcine and leave the salts outside to draw back in the "flame of life". The next step is to combine the extract and the salts together and distill over (under vacuum). The temperature remains low, so in theory the flame of life isn't lost and the tincture is restored it's vibration or life force. Really fast method = time saved.

In Mr. Reid's course (much respect) he states (hope you see this big fella) that even under ultra high vacuum "the spark is destroyed".

THIS IS WHAT IS DOING MY HEAD IN. Mr. Reid says we work at mild temp only. Perfectly reasonable, if "under vacuum destroys the spark", is the procedure laid out by Mr. Dubuis wrong?

I guess what I’m trying to say is what's the difference between 33.5 degrees and 33.5 degrees under vacuum? Why does the spark of life go out under vacuum at a low temperature but not go out at the same
temperature under normal atmospheric conditions?

My Reply was this:

First let me state that I have the greatest respect for Mr. Dubuis, and his experience in the Art, he is most definitely an Elder Brother in the work, so I would not frame the question as me vs. him, we just have different thoughts on procedures.

While I will agree that vacuum work is faster, that does not mean it is better. For one thing many volatile components can be lost during the use of a vacuum, as one constantly has to release pressure until it is stabilized. The second and most important thing is time, just because a thing happens faster does not mean it is better. Time allows disparate things to come together, to blend, marry and unite. There is a reason why Paracelsus recommends circulating wine for three months prior to beginning any distillation work.

As to the use of soxhlet's to extract salts I think this is a waste of time also, as the higher heat will cause some particles that would not readily go into solution at room temperature to do so during the use of the device. Thus when going to the work of crystallization you will find a great deal more precipitate in your water than you do if just allowing it to extract at body temp over time. I suppose if one where to use a soxhlet under vacuum for the extraction of salts this would not be a problem, but then another principle can be missed. Water left in contact with ash for periods of time goes through a slight putrefaction process, which opens the salt more. This is one of the reasons that I advocate composting the plant residue after extraction of the essential oils, and fermentation of the plant body to make an alcohol.

In truth even plant work is a form of mineral alchemy, even though it may not appear to be so on the surface. Take a look at well-composted plant mater that has been thoroughly dried and ground, and that of dried earth. You will see very little difference to the naked eye, indeed we must follow in the foot steps of Nature, not supplant her work but rather pick up where she has left off. Many suppose this to mean after the plant has matured and been harvested. But a life cycle is usually drawn ac a circle and a circle has neither beginning nor end, we intersect with it where we choose. At each point of the life cycle we have the choice to do some phase of the work, but we must allow Nature her reign, and her work and then pick up where she has left off.

Follow The Path Of Nature

Although Fulcanelli said the following words about the colour (from pp. 113-114 of the French edition of the Le Mystere des Cathedrales) - '... Follow nature, then, and obey it as faithfully as you can.' - It is pretty common in many of other traditional texts that nature should be followed in close way to be successful in whatever human deeds.

The funny question is, as you can see below, who is following who. While we set some herbs and spices in our porch of the house where production of essences, elixirs and plantstones is going on, the nature in the form of a nice and courageous bird setting up its nest right in the middle of herbs is following our initial placement and positioning of the pot.
nest in herbsnest in herbs nest in herbsnest in herbs Or is it that the order of the colours to be followed is as above, coming from black, through beige and white, then her gentle heat of the red results into emerald green? There is for sure something more coming up in the next couple of weeks and I will be pleased to show the final result ...

Update (6/05/2008): work still in progress ...

Update (6/17/2008): life coated in the emerald green has changed into gentle pink beige ...

Update (6/24/2008): yellow is already here ...

Update (6/30/2008): the first red hidden in the black ready to fly ...

Update (7/01/2008): the last three of musketeers and finally our nest is empty the same day ...

Are Herbal Essences Only For Chosen Ones?

Our main idea - simplicity of direct influence, understandable description and tangible effects - are behind creation of Pulse Essences™, charged with Sun and Moon as well. The knowledge of what to blend with what, as well as translating these archetypal and medicinal terms into situations of daily life are nice added values allowing our customers to choose and use Pulse Essences™ with ease and determination.

Why I am saying that? Because what always bothered me when approaching any sort of essences, regardless whether Bach, Hawaiian, Butterfly, Sea, etc. was that feeling of uncertainty on what to choose, why this one and not the other one, then also all that vocabulary developed around them like "subtle but powerful, plant spirit, healing Devas, disturbances of energy"; my limited knowledge about them was also an obstacle but was combined with a strong temptation to somehow use them and, last but not least, enormous span of "healing" properties assigned to every single essence (or the opposite, almost none from practical point of view). - Nothing against it but, why am I suppose to collect, study, compare, analyse, check, verify, discover and finally end up with some little clue about what essence not to use ... ?

Do I need to study what is the engine of the car and its electricity circuits composed of to be able to drive? Certainly not, but I still need to take care of driving itself, check the traffic, lights and that's a lot of attention and energy spent on it. - I want to say it takes a lot of personal intent, courage, admittance to use something else then what is available and suggested for medical mass market, as well as creativity to land down into the land of essences, so why that blurry and misleading image on top of that, which can hardly support me or anyone to enter deeper and get something tangible into my hands.

Well, I consider myself not that sensitive, gifted, vibrationally aware, sensually equipped for being able to use any essence straight from the shelve.

As a such, I discovered that if I am to feel individual essence working for specific purpose - that means I feel its influence straight within my physical and/or emotional body, it must be either the blend of essences in which they support each other and so they create cumulative and stronger effect. Another way is to have the essence assigned to specific situation of daily life, so I can match my usual experiences with those treated by the essence itself.

Pulse Essences™ comply with both approaches being blended from organic or wild growing herbs with synergy effects and linked to situations that everyone already experienced, so they should be really easy to pick and use.

Natural Perpetuum Mobile or Turning Man's Ideas Into Reality

I always liked things that worked without any human assistance, for example the Sun shining regardless what happens down here on the Earth, the wind refreshing my skin whenever it wants and if coming more closer to let's say animal kingdom - bees that only need to have their hive and then will start to gather honey, or yeast once poured into must immediately starting to produce wine ...

I have a strong feeling that this world was conceived this way and although it is not easy to find without an effort traces of that old master plan now, I am always delighted to find its bits and
pieces here and there.

That feeling bounced back when working with Plantstones.

The part that relates to perpetuum mobile for me is the one, when you actually join the inner intent entrusted into specific herb (through Herbal Crystal™ and later Pulse Stone™) with your own intent or desire that you want enliven, cultivate, grow and strengthen into final Plantstone™. It is said, that a perpetual motion machine produces strictly more energy than it uses, giving the user unlimited energy. - Intent and desire are on some subtle level a sort of energy, so once my intent is supported with the herb, so I can just sit and let the herbal essentials do the work for me just watching the crystals growing - this is it. And I like it.

It reminds me of that old days when I was a child and during a winter time I was tempted from time to time to enter into our house larder and find out what can I get there, what was finished, ripen in the meantime when I was playing outside in the summer time and as I remember, there was always something that I found for my sweet treat. Just waiting for me to get it into my hands ...
